Hi, I am
Raymond

I am Raymond White, resident of Mountain View since 2010, local since 1950. My academic backgound is a Ph.D. in Bioloöcal Sciences from Stanford and teaching biolow at Old Dominion University and, later, City College of San Francisco.

Fiscal stability of the District is my first priority. There are issues of tax fund distribution and locations of future schools as land east of Highway 101 is built out.

My second priority is educational productivity, measured by math
and reading test scores. Gaps among groups have persisted over
many decades. Mississippi improved its state ranking in reading
from 49th to 21 st over the past decade.

Keeping Secrets

MVWSD's equity efforts include professional development led by the Director of
Equity, fostering inclusivity across staff and leadership.

Critical Race

Critical Race Theory in Mountain View Whisman School District:

I’ve been poking into the creep of Critical Race Theory topics into the MVWSD since November 2021 because no one else was doing that.

I have zoomily met with the Director of Equity (Megan Henderson) to discuss some of her work and with the District Superintendent (Dr. Ayinde Rudolph) for more information.

The Director of Equity has produced seven powerpoint presentations that she has given to classified staff, principals, the Board of Trustees, and to teachers as professional development activities. I have pdf copies.
